Volkswagen Beetle 1300 1973
- Original NL-Car
- Richly documented
- Tidy condition
The Volkswagen Beetle had a number of influencers and collaborators, including engineer Josef Ganz, who is often credited with creating the concept. At that time, he was already contributing to the development of Daimler-Benz and BMW cars, and his 1934 'Standard Superior' had a similar shape and appearance to the 'Bug'. Ganz was not a favorite in Germany and the project was assigned to Ferdinand Porsche, who then promoted the design. Many of the design cues came from Tatra, an acknowledgment they received after closing a successful court case at the end of the war.
A total of 21,529,464 units of the Beetle were produced. In 2003, the Beetle was the second best-selling car in the world, next to the Volkswagen Golf. The last classic Volkswagen Beetle was built on July 30, 2003 in Puebla, Mexico.
This example was delivered in a beautiful 'Leuchtsorange' paint along with a black interior, both of which are in beautiful condition. It has been completely disassembled and the bottom has been restored. The entire body is in a very neat condition. There are several points to be found at the Beetle. For starters, it has a JBL sound system. At the front there are Wipac fog lights. The white headlining is still in a very nice condition and forms a nice combination with the black upholstery and the brown carpets.
At the time of restoration, it was completely disassembled and the bottom was restored. In addition, the car was also painted in its original orange color that still looks very nice to this day. It's an original Dutch car. In terms of documentation, there are several things available. The original service booklet is present along with the original manual. There are a nice number of invoices and other various documents to be found. In addition, there are dozens of photos from the moment of restoration. Finally, there is a "Fahrzeug-Identitäts-Urkunde der Stiftung AutoMuseum Volkswagen" present. So well documented.
A beautiful and striking classic!
