The power really makes it a thrilling ride. It reminds me of the P1 a lot—you can tell it’s the same personality. It doesn’t even feel that much slower. It hauls the mail! It just rocks!” –Motortrend’s Randy Pobst comments after posting their second fastest lap ever around Willow Springs Raceway (second to the Porsche 918). The 666 horsepower McLaren 675LT is a further developed, track-inspired derivative of the 650S. Utilizing technology derived from McLaren’s GT3 racecars, it is a close as one could get to the mighty McLaren P1 supercar without the million+ price tag. Its name pays homage to the legendary McLaren F1 GTR Longtail of the late 1990s and takes styling cues of the F1 while further refining them such as the 1.3-inch additional length over the 650S and the extended rear spoiler which acts as an air brake. Paired with the new rear carbon fiber diffuser, the 675LT increased downforce by 40% over the 650S. Larger ceramic brakes with 6 pot calipers in the front and 4s in the rear, the 675LT also increase stopping power over the 650S. Everything including the monocell chassis has been lightened. Coupling the lighten features with further tweaks of the 3.8L twin-turbocharged V8, the 675LT can zoom to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of over 200 mph. It took everything that was great about the P1, 650S, and cars from their GT3 racing program to create this all-encompassing track machine. All told, 1,000 cars were produced with production numbers of Coupes and roadsters splitting that figure in half.
The car on offer here, chassis SBM11RAA4GW675359 is a one-owner example showing just 2,091 miles from new. Its one and only caretaker is an avid car enthusiast and eclectic car collector of vintage sports cars as well as modern supercars. Gifted to him by his wife as a birthday present, this 675LT has been driven sparingly and is finished in quite possibly the best color to complement the extended lines of the car; Napier Green. Its options list includes vehicle lift, extensive exterior and interior carbon fiber components, lightweight forged wheels and much more. Paint protective clear film was also installed to protect the vulnerable areas of the car such as the front nose portions and behind the wheels. The car is virtually blemish-free with no issues to disclose other than some typical scuffing on the underside of the front spoiler (see photos).
