Twenty-five years ago, a small fire started in someone's garage, taking his perfectly good Lamborghini 400 GT and severely damaging its coachwork and interior, leaving a sound chassis, suspension and drive train. At that time it was pretty well slated for sale as parts and pieces, until its new owner entered the picture and purchased it to construct a long planned and thought out project.

The Spider is currently with a Texas collector who bought the car 30 years ago. He never assembled it. I inventoried the parts May 2020 and herein are the photos. The car needs an easy assembly to make a “driver”. If a concours level car is desired, some things will need to be finished differently.

The story of the build on the car begins when we received a call from a gentleman asking if we could help him find an interesting old Ferrari body he could turn into a chandelier for his large living room in the new house he was building. We started looking for old Ferrari bodies through the network of older craftsmen in Italy who help us supply original parts for Ferraris under concours restoration.

May be the only factory sunroof 250GTE. Investigation on-going. Includes the matching number motor rebuilt by Roelof. Motor complete, car missing some parts. List available.
