Some things are just so incredibly beautiful. Sometimes the car is that gorgeous its essence cannot be caught on camera. Still, we have done our utmost to capture this Maserati 3500 GT for your viewing pleasure. This car has recently undergone a complete nut & bolt restoration and mechanical rebuild, leaving it absolutely in prime shape. This Maserati has retained its original engine, making it a matching numbers vehicle. The thoroughness with which the work was done is immense together with a keen eye for originality so that the car is now truly immaculate.

This is a 1959 Maserati 3500 GT. As we have already mentioned it is in all aspects in very good shape. The Maserati's bodywork looks great. The correctly aligned panelwork is totally unmarked. The chrome work, lights and wheels are perfect, enhancing the car's appeal. The recent respray in an authentic Maserati colour, as well as the excellent workmanship, just add to its alluring list of attributes.

The recently reupholstered interior looks stunning. In addition, the new carpets are neatly fitted. The seats have been returned to their original condition, the delightfully supple leather providing comfortable seating. The original instrument cluster and dashboard again look great, with the dash top cover finished in fine black leather. The Jaeger instruments are little gems of artwork, making one wonder why such beauty does not feature in today's cars.

The matching-numbers engine it left the factory with has been fully rebuilt. The aluminium 3.5-litre straight-six delivers 220 Ps attached to a manual 4-speed ZF gearbox. The engine has three Weber Twin-Choke carburettors adding not only some eye-candy but also in no small measure helps the car along just nicely. The rising revs swell the sound and forward momentum transporting to a spot on the horizon in no time at

all as well as taking one to “driving Nirvana”! The Maserati 3500 GT was a very advanced car in its day, with its double front wishbones and independent rear suspension. It is the perfect marriage between Gran Turismo and sportiness. Finally, our mechanical description also takes in the fine suspension and tyres. The braking system consists of front disc brakes and hydraulically assisted rear drum brakes.

The car comes with a fantastic amount of documentation, including a Maserati certificate and many invoices related to its restoration. There are two large files containing the above as well as general information about the Maserati 3500 GT and various magazines. This is one beautifully restored, matching numbers Maserati 3500 GT in fantastic condition and presented in a wonderful finish. A truly unique car!
