Alfa introduced the Giulia in 1962. Compared to the Giulietta, the Italian brand made significant improvements. The engine was upgraded to a 1,600-cc unit, instead of the previous 1,300 cc, making it much more powerful. The new model also featured vastly improved heating. Underneath, it was all very modern, with independent suspension, a five-speed manual gearbox, and disc brakes all around.

Despite the distinctive, square design, the Giulietta and Giulia were symbols of aerodynamic efficiency, with the Alfa Romeo DNA throughout, showcasing their sporty character as expected from an Alfa. With its 92 hp four-cylinder engine with twin overhead camshafts, the Giulia TI version could reach speeds of up to 160 km/h.

Every model evolves, and Alfa Romeo didn't rest with the Giulia as well. In 1965, Alfa introduced several changes and added an even sportier engine to the Giulia lineup. The engine now featured twin carburetors and delivered 112 hp. The gear lever moved to the floor, enhancing the driving experience.

Our Giulia is an early and attractive model, equipped with the later 1,600-cc engine tuned to 145 hp. It comes from a well-known Dutch family, passionate about Alfa Romeo, who owned this car for 25 years. This particular model is fully competition-prepared and offers excellent performance for sporting purposes. What makes this Giulia appealing is that while it's fully rally-prepared, the original elements were retained, including extra rally lights, alloy wheels, a sporty steering wheel, racing seats with corresponding belts, roll cage, fire extinguisher, Sparco pedals, compass, and trip meter.

By retaining the authentic details, the overall appearance remains neat. The paintwork looks beautiful, and the chrome bumpers are still in good condition. The windows are in excellent shape. Inside, the dashboard is in good condition, with the original instrument cluster still present. The door panels are in good shape, and the underside of the car is solid.

With its 145 hp engine, this car is seriously quick to drive. The engine is eager, the shifts are precise, and the car feels very robust. Driving this Alfa is a true spectacle.

This is a fantastic opportunity to own a beautiful and fast Giulia that's perfectly suited for events like the Silverstone Classic, Donington Historic Festival, or racing at the Goodwood Revival, as many other Giulias did in the past.
