Broad Arrow Auctions has marked a major milestone with the conclusion of its Global Icons: Online series, a multi-location digital sale that drew strong international engagement. More than 800 registered bidders from 35 countries took part, helping the series surpass €18.3 million in total turnover and achieve an impressive 90 per cent sell-through rate.
At the pinnacle of the results was a true piece of modern motorsport history: Michael Schumacher’s 1992 Benetton B192-05. Offered publicly for the first time, the car realised €5.082.000, underscoring its significance as the machine that carried Schumacher to his first Formula One victory at Spa-Francorchamps and signalled the arrival of a legendary career.
The European segment of the sale delivered several notable outcomes beyond the headline car. A 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 S achieved a strong €1.716.000, while bidding for a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale pushed the model to a new European auction benchmark at €561.000.
Equally encouraging results were seen in the Global Icons: UK Online sale. Among the highlights was a 2001 Ferrari Barchetta Pininfarina, a model celebrated among modern collectors, which attracted enthusiastic interest and concluded at €387.100.
Interest remained high through the close of Global Icons: Memorabilia Online on 1 February, where last-minute bidding activity defined the session. Items connected to Ayrton Senna proved especially desirable, led by a replica Bell helmet from his 1988 McLaren season, which emerged as the top lot at €55.625.
Complete results can be viewed on the Broad Arrow Auctions website. The team extends its sincere thanks to all bidders and consignors, as well as to everyone who attended the live preview hosted at the iconic Roland-Garros Stadium.
