1971 Meyers Manx Manxter 2+2 | Estimate £30,000 - £35,000

Think Malibu in the 60’s, the playscape for the daddy of beach buggy culture, Meyers Manx. Six decades on, Historics delivers a hint of that free spirit era with a brace of ‘dune jumpers’ that honour the late, great Bruce F. Meyers. One is a faithful recreation of the Meyers Manx ‘Goldie2’ buggy that raced the 1,000 mile Baja desert race in 2002, the second a genuine RHD 1971 2+2 Manxter – as rare as hen’s teeth – that started life as a fully-certified Meyers Manx kit, built and crafted superbly by experts, Buggy Builders of Bosham, Sussex.

1971 Ford Escort Mexico | Estimate £85,000 - £95,000

Most surely on the radar for any collector is a striking orange duo of 1971 Ford Escort Mexicos with exceptional and unique Formula 1 provenance  - one raced by Colin Chapman, the other by Max Mosley in a memorable Brands Hatch race with other team bosses . The same applies to the 1991 BMW Z1, one of only 50 delivered for sale in the UK and almost certainly the only one of the 8,000 hand-built icons of BMW design and engineering not to have ever been registered since new, 35 years ago.

2026 marks ‘Bavarian Motoren Werk’s’ 110th anniversary, classically represented at the sale with an exceptional, one-of-60, right-hand drive, 5.6 litre V12 1995 BMW 850 Ci.  Meanwhile, the simple elegance of the early 3-Series saloon is clear to see in a fine and affordable example of the six-cylinder 1980 BMW 320i. For pure eye candy, take a long, close look at the 1982 BMW E21 Group 5 ‘Art Car’,  whose specification beneath the sensational livery is an equal work of art, making this a true collector icon.

1995 BMW 850 CSi | Estimate £40,000 - £50,000

The street presence of a 2016 Ford Mustang GTS 700 is undeniable. Created by specialists ‘Deranged ‘.  this bespoke, supercharged, 670 bhp derivation of the latest of the Ford US iconic ’pony car’ has a superb performance specification to match. Contrasting magnificently in US car culture is a wonderful 1961 two-tone example of the first-ever Chevrolet Corvette model, the design swansong of GM’s Harvey Earl before he retired.

Mirroring the Mustang’s feisty power output but in an utterly different package is a full-blooded, track-only 2017 Ferrari 488 Challenge race car, based on the road-going model but configured at Maranello purely for competition.

‘Demure’ is not a word that best describes the Mustang GTS but it fits like a glove a supreme 1964 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III by Mulliner Park Ward.  Featuring exceptionally rare coachwork, and an exemplary history that includes an RREC Concours Award, this is an example of one of the most exceptional coach-built Rolls-Royce motorcars ever produced.
