An original GT carburetor version, this Maserati benefits from front disc brakes, optional factory hardtop and 16-inch Borrani wire wheels. Its striking Argento Luna exterior is complemented by a beautifully contrasting Tobacco leather interior, creating a classic combination that perfectly suits the elegant lines of the Vignale Spyder.

Designed by renowned stylist Giovanni Michelotti, the 3500 GT Vignale Spyder was produced between 1957 and 1964. Built as a two-seat, front-engined, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer, the model combined Maserati’s competition-bred engineering with the refinement and comfort expected of a high-end European GT.

This particular example has enjoyed an impressive history, having had just three owners from new. Among them was the celebrated French Ferrari collector Jean-Claude Bajol, who clearly appreciated and carefully maintained the car. Following its recent high-quality restoration, the Maserati is now located in Europe and ready for its next custodian.

The 3500 GT played an important role in Maserati’s transition from a predominantly competition-focused manufacturer towards producing sophisticated road-going grand tourers. With its elegant Vignale styling, limited production, desirable specification and fascinating ownership history, this 1960 Maserati 3500 GT Vignale Spyder represents a particularly attractive opportunity for collectors seeking an important and beautifully presented example of Maserati’s golden era.
