Paul Walker’s Lost Evo VII Found Again

A legendary piece of Fast & Furious movie history could be making an incredible comeback, with Paul Walker's iconic Candy Lime Green Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII reportedly discovered in a barn in upstate New York, almost 23 years after appearing in 2 Fast 2 Furious.

The discovery was announced by car collector Gabriel Tremblay, behind The Furious Garage project, who claims the car is the long-lost original "Hero 1" Evo. The Mitsubishi became an instant favourite with fans thanks to its striking green paintwork, aggressive body kit, large rear wing and starring role alongside Walker's character, Brian O'Conner.

According to Tremblay, the car spent years tucked away in private storage, largely forgotten by the outside world. Now, The Furious Garage team is reportedly working to bring the legendary Mitsubishi back to its former glory, potentially giving fans another chance to see one of the franchise's most recognisable movie cars.

The team has also indicated that the Evo is being prepared for a public appearance at FuelFest in Tampa, Florida. However, with several Mitsubishi Evo VII examples used during filming, the car's identity as the original Hero 1 vehicle and its ownership history still require independent verification.

If confirmed, this would be a significant discovery for movie-car collectors and Fast & Furious enthusiasts alike. More than two decades after its big-screen debut, the prospect of Paul Walker's famous Evo VII returning to the spotlight is certainly an exciting one.

1968 Mustang Survivor Sells For $60,000

Sometimes the best classic car finds are the ones that have simply been forgotten. This extraordinary 1968 Ford Mustang coupe, showing just 1,033 miles (approximately 1,660km) on its odometer, has proved that originality can be worth serious money, selling for an impressive $60,000 at auction.

Finished in its original Highland Green paintwork with an Ivy Gold interior, the Mustang looks remarkably close to how it would have appeared when it left the showroom nearly six decades ago. Its remarkably low mileage is reportedly the result of the original owner driving it for just one month before putting it away, where it remained largely untouched for years.

Under the bonnet sits a 200ci (3.3-litre) inline-six engine paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Far from being a high-performance Mustang, this was a relatively modest specification when new, featuring period details including power steering, dealer-installed air conditioning and its original AM radio.

The car was discovered by automotive personality Dennis Collins before finding its way into Richard Rawlings' Gas Monkey Garage collection. Offered through Bring a Trailer as part of the 2026 Gas Monkey Garage Collection, the Mustang attracted considerable attention before eventually selling for $60,000 on October 29, 2026.

While many classic Mustangs have been modified, restored or driven hard over the decades, this remarkable survivor demonstrates the growing appeal of untouched originality. With barely more than 1,600km on the clock, it is a genuine automotive time capsule and a wonderful reminder that sometimes the most special classics are the ones that have simply been left alone.
