When it comes to Street Rods the early 30's Fords have proven time and time again to be one of the most popular options to customize. These were extremely popular when new and continue to be given new life by car enthusiasts and hot rodders all over the world. In 1933 the cars were significantly redesigned. While they do bear some resemblance to the '32, these cars had a longer wheel base, the grill revised to have a pointed slope at the bottom and more rounded swooping fenders. All of this worked together to give the cars a more lengthened look while still being streamlined and luxurious. They were offered in a few different body styles including the Victoria which included the deluxe trim package. This very clean 1933 Ford is one of those Victorias which are commonly called "Vickys" in the car community. It was completed in 2010 and was professionally built by Kikin Street Rods out of Lampasas, Texas. The current owner had it built so it comes with full documention of the build process. It is a Downs body with a 3 inch chop painted in a beautiful Dark Brown Metallic and is on a Downs Stage II chassis. It looks great and really pops when you get it out in the sun where the metal flake can come alive. The body lines were then accented with very clean pinstriping by "Mike Didit" with freestyle work on the rear/nose and long thin lines stretching the length of the car. The grill is all nicely chromed and topped off with the classic Greyhound hood ornament. It is then framed by nice chrome headlights which have built in turn signals. The car does wear some very nice stock features like the bowed front and rear bumpers and stock style tail lights. On the running boards custom chrome trim has been added which are a nice touch. The Downs body is fiberglass but the car does have a Rootlieb steel hood and louvered side panels. Other nice exterior features include the chrome door handles, chrome peep mirrors, and dual chrome windshield wipers. The car rides on Cragar SS wheels with a slightly larger wheel in the back and low profile tires up front to give the car a slight rake.

Ford fans will rejoice when they open up that steel hood to reveal that this street rod is Ford powered with a crate GT40 302ci V8 that is rated at 350 hp. That's right, a Ford in a Ford! The motor runs great and is built up with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, an MSD Atomic EFI throttle body, MSD distributor, Taylor wires, MSD blaster coil, Ford Racing valve covers, and a chrome air cleaner. Cooling is easily achieved with a Walker radiator, hidden electric fan and Cool Flex hoses. Mated to the motor is an Automatic with overdrive transmission that transfers power back to the Ford 9 inch rear with 28 spline axles. The car was built with 11" Wildwood disc brakes under all four corners and they are power assisted. The car rides nice with Ridetech coil over shocks in both front and back. It is a very nice driver that is ready to go. It only has 5,950 miles on it since being completed so has a long life ahead of it.

The interior is very cleanly done with nice Light Brown leather upholstery that is in excellent condition throughout. It has custom bucket seats up front and being a Vicky allows space for a rear bench seat to carry extra passengers, all of which have seat belts. Prior to the receiving its interior it was fully Lizard Skinned and Dynamatted which regulates both temperature and road noise. The dash is beautifully finished with a Burled Elm wood which is both classy and unique. The same treatment was applied to the custom door panels as well which are very cool. On the dash are Classic Instrument Vintage Series gauges which are all working properly. You will also note small LED indicators which are very subtle in an effort to keep the dash looking clean. The wood continues below the dash into the custom center console and is where you will find the Vintage AC/Heat controls. This console houses the shifter, cupholders, adjustable AC vents, the ignition, wiper control, headlight knob and power window controls. In front of the driver sits a nice Ididit polished column topped off with a leather wrapped Banjo steering wheel. Overhead is the custom console with Premiere stereo and a courtesy light. It sounds great with Premier kick panel and door panel speakers. Also on the doors are custom arm rests and door pins for safety since they are suicide doors.

This is a very well built car that exudes class. It comes with a front bra to protect the paint, all the build receipts, and a car cover for when it is time to park it.
