The Alpina B7 Turbo Coupe was introduced in 1978, making it the first BMW 6 Series to be modified by Alpina. Behind the characteristic 'shark nose' lay a modified 3,5 liter six-cylinder in-line to which a turbo was screwed on, resulting in an astonishing 330 hp for that time.
The B7 was available with a close-ratio five-speed gearbox or a five-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. Depending on the model year, Alpina claimed acceleration to 100 km/h in 5,9 or 6,7 seconds and a top speed of 250 or 265 km/h.
Classic Alpinas are all the rage at the moment and the prices of good ones are skyrocketing.
