One of the most desirable classics of all time - the 300 SL Roadster combines timeless elegance with uncompromising technology. Only 1.858 examples were built between 1957 and 1963; this one was delivered new in Dortmund, Germany, in 1959 and later spent many years in California before returning to Europe in 1991, where it has remained privately owned ever since.
The car was professionally restored in the past and repainted in 172 Grau, an original Mercedes color, and fitted with a beautiful brown leather interior. A comprehensive mechanical overhaul was carried out in 2008 (invoices available), and a major service was recently performed. Disc brakes have been installed at the front for improved driving comfort.
The 3,0-liter six-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection delivers its power smoothly and powerfully; the car drives superbly and is a true pleasure for both touring and competitions. The car comes with a copy of the Datenkarte and a file of invoices.
