Serie Oro No. 118/300 Unveiled at the Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA) in 2018 as a prototype, the MV Agusta Superveloce 800, inspired by the world of racing, embodied pure technology and elegance, igniting passion among enthusiasts. Few concessions were made to the prototype in order to create a road-legal version—fewer still for the exclusive Serie Oro edition. With a heritage spanning over a century, MV Agusta draws on its extensive experience in world championship racing, where it has secured numerous victories and podium finishes. The brand continues to produce premium sport bikes dubbed “Motorcycle Art,” maintaining a relentless focus on innovation and craftsmanship. Technically derived from the F3 800, MV Agusta’s most competitive model for the 2020 model year, the Superveloce 800 retains the F3’s single-sided swingarm, suspension, and engine, while asserting a distinct identity through its evocative design. Its chassis is composed of a steel tubular trellis frame elegantly paired with two aluminum side plates. It features a 43- mm inverted front fork and monobloc radial brake calipers. At its heart lies a three-cylinder, four-stroke, 800-cc fuel-injected engine delivering 148 horsepower, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox with a quickshifter. Already exceptional in its standard form, the Superveloce 800 is elevated even further by the highly exclusive Serie Oro edition, limited to just 300 units. This particular example, number 118, delivered new in November 2020, in Switzerland through Shamal Garage in Münchenstein, is finished in Ago Red over Ago Silver and presented in near-new condition with only 22 km on the odometer. Its original warranty booklet, which accompanies the bike, shows that it was acquired by the current owner in July 2022 from Niki Hasler AG. It underwent servicing in 2023 by Shamal Garage, when it already showed its current mileage of 22 km, and again in October 2025 by Möri Sport AG before being exhibited at the Zurich Auto Show. The Oro distinguishes itself through a series of refined and distinctive details: beautiful wire-spoke wheels, gold-finished aluminum frame plates and single-sided swingarm, and a striking SC Project exhaust system. The fuel tank is elegantly crossed by a leather strap, while the seat is trimmed in perforated Alcantara. Extensive use of carbon fiber underscores its exclusivity, with components such as the fairing side panels, front and rear mudguards, undertray, windscreen mount, chain guards, engine sump guard, air intake ducts, and belt covers all crafted from the lightweight material. In terms of instrumentation and rider aids, the Superveloce 800 Oro features a five-inch full-color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. This allows the rider to pair a smartphone and manage calls, messages, and music directly via the MV Ride app. The app also provides access to adjust the electronic riding aids from the smartphone itself. A built-in GPS module is included as well, offering both navigation and additional control functionalities. As for rider assistance systems, the bike offers four riding modes, one of which is fully customizable. An eight-level traction control system, fully disengageable, is included, along with a bidirectional quickshifter (Up & Down), cruise control, and a two-mode ABS system featuring rear-wheel lift mitigation. The model stays true to the very spirit of MV Agusta, embodying the key features of its most competitive editions while boasting a timeless yet distinctly unique retro racer aesthetic. Presented as nearly new, with only 22 kilometers on the odometer, accompanied by Swiss registration and numerous delivery items, this highly collectible piece of Motorcycle Art from MV Agusta is ready to find its place with the most discerning enthusiast—whether to be ridden or preserved in pristine condition.
