  • Rickman Metisse – a renowned line of handcrafted motorcycle frames developed by brothers Derek and Don Rickman in the late 1950s. Named Metisse (“mongrel”) for its mix of components, the design combined engines from makers such as Triumph and BSA with the Rickman's own innovative frames. Celebrated for its performance, versatility, and racing success, the Metisse later evolved into road-legal and Japanese-engined versions
  • Registered from new in 1978 to our vendor's father, this superb example was eventually stripped by him and carefully stored for many years. In recent years, he totally restored the bike and rebuilt it into the wonderful machine you see here today
  • Still fitted with its original 500cc Triumph Daytona parallel twin and sporting higher level handlebars instead of its original clip-ons. Supplied with a (rare) spare petrol tank
  • It has covered just 930 miles since the restoration but not ridden in recent years. Occasionally started and used for shows where it has won a number of awards
  • Complete with a current V5C, and a photo album showing each stage of the re-build
  • In excellent condition and a real 'head turner', this is a rare opportunity to acquire a superbly presented, one-owner Metisse
  • Without much recent use, the bike may require a small element of recommissioning prior to use.
