• The company won the Isle of Man Senior TT for the first time in 1920 with Tommy de la Hay
• Known for such innovations as their enclosed, oil bath chain-case and leaf-spring girder forks
• This c1918 3½ hp is believed to be one of the few machines produced for the British forces during WW1
• At the end of WW1 there were thought to be circa 80 solo Sunbeam motorcycles in service
• Built circa 1918 and registered in 1921
• Very little information remains regarding these machines
