1976 Reliant Robin with matching trailer. Registration number NRO 856P. Mileage: 145,550. Family owned since new.
Robin and trailer are finished in broom yellow (RAL1032) with white side panels.

The Robin started life as a van and the vendor added the rear windows and seats. He also fitted the sunroof, roof bars (ex boat fittings),vinyl roof and four 3 point seatbelts. The rear door has been modified from side opening to a tailgate with gas struts and fitted with a rear wiper.

At 125,000 miles the Robin had a complete body off restoration at which time a later model galvanised chassis was fitted together with the collapsible safety steering column and the steering box rebushed. The engine was stripped, rebored and reassembled, valves re-lapped and full set of gaskets fitted. New exhaust and silencer. Gearbox was overhauled and a new clutch and thrust bearing fitted. Clutch cable replaced. New brake master cylinder and slave cylinders, new brake linings new pipes and hoses. New shock absorbers.

Comes supplied with workshop manuals, spare door window and rear window glass, front shock, brake drums and shoes, hoses, gearbox housing, rear light lenses plus many small electrical items, Scissor jack, handle and wheel brace included. Also included is a 5/8 reamer for front king pin bush reaming.

The trailer is two halves of a Robin joined together on a bespoke box section frame. It also has a tailgate on struts. It has Indespension braked units and the tow hitch is a 8cwt unit which has had the return spring removed to cater for the lighter weight of this trailer. (At the time, an 8cwt unit was the smallest available braked tow hitch) it has 5 feet of flat load space.

Registered with as a 'Historic Vehicle', meaning exempt from MOT and Nil value Historic tax qualifying.
