Completed in October 1966, it was delivered new through Lombardi Gustavo in Napoli, Italy, elegantly specified in Azzurro paintwork over a Beige leather interior. Its accompanying history file resumes in 1975, when it was registered by William S. Knox of San Jose, California, who kept the car through 1984, after which it passed to Lucien I. Thomas, also in California. In September 1986, the Ferrari appeared in the Ferrari Market Letter, offered for sale by Thomas and finished at the time in Rosso Rubino.
