On offer here is an interesting Elva Courier Mk3 that was used as a road car for the majority of its life in the United States. In 1996, it was converted to a competition car by Elva specialist Butch Gilbert and subsequently campaigned in various HSR, VARA, and SOVREN historic events.

Its current owner is a well-respected figure in the historic racing scene and this smart little Elva joined his collection a few years ago. It's currently fitted with a race-specification 1,800cc MG B engine and a 4-speed straight-cut gearbox with limited-slip differential.  Very well presented in yellow and blue, the car is UK road registered as 295 NRT and, following some recommissioning, this attractive example could be used for a variety of historic road sports, historic rally or touring events, track days, or even for trips to the local pub.

A full specification is available upon request, with a summary below:

  • Engine: MG B, five main bearing, 1,800cc, Weber DCOE 45, cast iron head and block
  • Body: Fibreglass bodywork well presented in yellow and blue
