The Yamaha XS400 (1977-1982) is a popular vintage middleweight motorcycle featuring a 391cc-399cc air-cooled SOHC / DOHC parallel-twin engine, producing roughly 36-45 horsepower at 8,500-9,500 RPM. It is equipped with a 6-speed transmission, chain drive, and a 14-litre fuel tank. Known for its light, 165kg-177kg (dry) frame, it reaches speeds of around 105-109 mph.

This bike is offered as part of the Adam White collection and has been in long term dry storage and has had the fuel drained. The bikes in the collection have been regularly taken out and started up but they will need a degree of re-commissioning and attention to batteries. Obviously having been long term stored things like tyres and brakes will need looking at prior to any road use.

This bike was originally registered overseas in 1982 and then brought into the UK in 2000. Since then it has had a full rebuild in the style of a Matisse Desert Sled to a very high standard and viewing is highly recommended. It has been stored without fuel and will require recommissioning. It comes with full UK V5 and is clear on HPI and requires no keys.
