IZH-56 (1956–1962): This was the primary production model in 1961. It featured a 346cc air-cooled, two-stroke single-cylinder engine producing about 13 hp. It was notable for being one of the first Soviet bikes to use a full-frame design rather than just stamped steel components.

This bike is offered as part of the Adam White collection and has been in long term dry storage and has had the fuel drained. The bikes in the collection have been regularly taken out and started up but they will need a degree of re-commissioning and attention to batteries. Obviously having been long term stored things like tyres and brakes will need looking at prior to any road use.

This appears to have been fully rebuilt due to the grease around the pivot points and clean appearance. The bike has unused tyres and many new looking bits including new wiring, and either a new or reconditioned head / barrel assembly. The carburettor also looks a very recent item. There is plenty of compression when kicked, and the fuel tank is dry. We have 1 key only and there has been no paperwork provided.
