The 1985-1987 Suzuki RG500 Gamma is a legendary, race-derived street bike featuring a 498cc liquid-cooled square-four, two-stroke engine with rotary valve induction. It produces a claimed 95hp at 9,500 rpm and weighs just 154-156kg dry, offering 140+ mph performance and 6-speed cassette gearbox. The chassis is a box-section alloy perimeter frame with 38mm anti-dive forks and a 16/17-inch wheel combo. The RG500 is known for its close relationship to the RG500 GP racer, utilising a similar layout with two crank shafts geared together, and was produced for only three years.

This bike has come from a local vendor and had clearly been in long term dry storage. It needs fully recommissioning but does represent a fabulous starting point. The current market for RG500s is very high for fully restored bikes, this one is price reflective of the work needed but for the right investor who can put the skills into it the rewards are there to be taken. It comes with 1 key, UK V5 and is clear on HPI, and we highly recommend viewing.
