The Benelli 654 Sport is a classic Italian motorcycle produced between 1980 and 1986, featuring a 604cc air-cooled inline-four engine. Derived from the larger six-cylinder 900 Sei, it was known for its handsome design and refined build quality despite being a high-cost option in its segment.
The Benelli 500/4 (often referred to as the 500 Quattro in its road-going form) has a storied history in Grand Prix racing, particularly during the 1960s. Developed to challenge the dominance of MV Agusta, the GP-spec machine was a sophisticated engineering marvel for its time. The racing version of the 500cc four-cylinder was significantly lighter and more powerful than the production models that followed in the 1970s.
This bike has come from a local vendor within the motorbike trade and is a fabulous looking machine. It started life as a 654 Sport but has been rebuilt to be a 500/4 GP Replica and has only covered 500 km since the re-build, mainly on parade laps and as a show bike.
