Be it a super track day weapon, or an engaging road car, this Ginetta certainly looks the part and is ready to go with a fresh MOT.

Being a G40 Cup, this is a more race focused version of the standard G40 and we understand it is eligible for the Ginetta Junior Cup and Britcar Racing series, although this should be confirmed by the new owner.

The exterior has minimal signs of use with minor marks only. Bespoke decals are present and attractive ‘quick release’ multi spoke alloys are fitted shod in matching Yokohama tyres. There is a crack in the windscreen (mentioned as an advisory on the MOT), and there is a leaflet in the file informing where a replacement screen can be sourced. There is also a purposeful rear spoiler fitted (carbon fibre SVG Motor sport we understand).

The interior is stripped out as you would expect, and provides a functional and driver orientated environment. Black cloth and vinyl bucket seats are fitted with 5-point harnesses (in date we are told) and minimal instrumentation. A plumbed in fire extinguisher also features, which appears to be in date. There appears to be some carbon fibre effect detailing which is a nice touch.

Under the bonnet is an upgraded standard Ford 1.8 Zetec engine - producing approximately 150 bhp the vender tells us - mated to a Mazda derived 5-speed gearbox. The vender tells us a performance air filter is fitted, and it also features adjustable dampers.

It appears from the invoices on file that work was undertaken in July 2025, which included checking, setting up and balancing the throttle bodies, new spark plugs, a seat repair, exhaust adjustment, and an ECU remap. It appears a full service was carried out in March 2024 costing over £5,000 which included an engine replacement. There are a set of new brake pads ready to fit as and when.

Overall, a visceral, raw and hugely engaging example - and one that you can drive to the race track, enjoy a few laps, and return home without the need for a trailer.
