Aah, the good old days, when cars identified as cars and woke was something you did in the morning, gone forever.

Purchased from Jaguar dealer Royles of Wilmslow by the vendor in 2006 when our 4.2 XK8 had covered just 17,000 miles in its first two years. Simple maths leads us believe that it has travelled around 20,000 miles in the last 20 years.

Finished in Radiance Red with Dove Grey leather and specified with electric seats, reverse park control, wood / leather steering wheel and a radio cassette, subsequently fitted with a Tracker system that we assume can be transferred, but you will have to check.

The general condition is extremely good, if we were to be critical, a machine polish of the paintwork would be of great benefit, the odd surface scratch particularly on the nearside rear wing could well be eradicated resulting in a beautiful finish. The interior is in great shape and such a nice place to be.

Boasting a packed history file, we can establish that this XK8 has covered very little mileage in the last few years. For example, in July 2023 we have an invoice for four new Continental tyres and a recorded mileage of 37,134, that’s just 108 miles completed since then.

The XK8 has aged well, and is still a good looking and driving car even after twenty odd years. We’ve seen quite a few in our time and had many conversations about future classic status. The general consensus seems to be, how can something that looks this good, not be desirable. The key to minimising unexpected financial risks is to buy the best you can and we believe that this XK is one of the best. Offered at no reserve, we would strongly recommend an early viewing as we expect interest to be high.
