The Honda S2000, in production between 1999 until 2009 holds a special place in the hearts of driving enthusiasts. Featuring the remarkable 2.0-litre VTEC engine known for its high-revving 240 horsepower and amazing 9000rpm redline. Combined with a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission and Torsen Limited slip differential, it delivered an exhilarating driving experience and became an instant classic.
We are delighted to offer this 2002 Honda S2000 in dark silver with contrasting red leather interior.
The S2000 is one of those cars that barely seems to date and even after 24 years it looks purposeful and modern. The paintwork is generally good with just a few age-related marks and blemishes. There is a small pea size dent in the passenger door skin but it looks the sort of thing that a paintless dent removal practitioner would remove very easily.
Unlike many S2000s, this is a completely standard and unmodified example and sports the correct 16” alloy wheels. The electric hood benefits from a glass rear window. We raised and lowered the hood for our photographs without difficulty.
Sitting low in an S2000 with all the important controls within fingertip reach, it’s a real driver’s cockpit. The electronic instruments are bright and clear and the gearchange is light and short of throw. The red leather seats are in great condition, with some wear evident as expected on the driver’s side bolster, otherwise there appears to be no obvious rips or tears and the plastics are in good order.
Included in the history file is a V5C, old MOTs, original stamped service book, further maintenance invoices, Tracker details and handbook.
This S2000 presents a real opportunity to grab a lovely example of these fantastic cars before rising values put them out of reach.
