The TT Quattro Sport is a true collector car and being in what appears to be in original specification, this particular example is the one to have.
Launched to celebrate the 25 year anniversary of the first Quattro launch, the TT Quattro Sport models were built by Quattro GmbH at the RS production line in Germany, rather than in Hungary where standard TTs were built. Under the bonnet sits a 1.8-litre turbocharged inline-four engine, delivering 237 bhp when new, and 236 lb-ft of torque - figures not to be sniffed at even today. The additional power was complemented by a weight reduction of 75kgs - achieved by removing the spare wheel, rear harmonic damper, parcel shelf, and rear seats - and relocating the battery into the boot. It boasted an impressive sub 6 second 0 - 60 time when new, and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
This Phantom Black pearl example is in great condition inside and out, with only minimal signs of age, and it boasts the requisite gloss black roof, model specific alloys, body kit, Recaro bucket seats with black backs, and rear seat delete - all defining features of the Quattro Sport. Phantom Black pearl pillars and mirrors complement the look.
Recently serviced with an additional 9 stamps in the book. There is an invoice from November 2021 indicating the purchase of a cam belt and water pump which would suggest they were fitted around this time, although there is no invoice for the fitment. The vendor has told us that a new battery and alternator have recently been fitted.
The paintwork appears in super condition overall - it’s difficult to believe this is over 20 years old. There are some minor marks on the boot lid and a small scratch on the bonnet, but otherwise it presents very nicely. Matching Continental tyres feature as do matching Sytner front and rear reg plates with Audi Sport surrounds. The alloys are in great condition as well.
The interior is clean and tidy with little signs of wear. The leather and Alcantara Quattro Sport specific seats are firm and supportive, and the rear cargo nets are still present which is a nice touch. There is a CD player located in the pass side rear cubby and embossed front mats are also fitted. The Audi also boasts an Alcantara roof lining, steering wheel and handbrake lever cover.
The mileage would appear correct looking at the previous MOT certificates.
As genuine and unmodified TT QS models become increasingly scarce and values continue to strengthen, this represents a great opportunity to acquire a super example that is well positioned as a future modern classic.
