- Worthwhile project
- Recently partially recommissioned after a period of storage
- Attractive period features
- Starts, runs, drives and brakes
- Rare split screen version
This 1952 Morris Minor four-door benefits from a partial recommissioning following a period of storage of approximately 10 years.
Whilst the bodywork needs attention, particularly the door bottoms, it retains many of its original features including the dash, split screen windscreen, banjo steering wheel, and seats. The interior would benefit from a good clean.
We believe the Minor was originally grey, as the HPi is showing a colour change in 2008. The HPi also shows it was first registered in the UK in 1985 - which suggests it may have spent some time abroad.
Unfortunately, the Morris has no paperwork and the V5 will need to be applied for. We have pulled off a copy of the DVLA MOT history which shows the last MOT expired in May 2007 when the mileage was showing as 70,920 miles. In addition, we have some previous tax discs plus the aforementioned HPi report.
The vender has reported the Minor starts on the button with a little choke and runs as it should. He has also overhauled the brakes meaning that it now stops. He suggests as well that it holds water when running and is very sound underneath, although we suggest you make your own mind up. It is safe to assume some further recommissioning may be required.
Overall, a characterful and cheerful little classic in need of some cosmetic attention and TLC, but at no reserve, what’s not to like?
