Neat MG MGB in stylish GT version! This model was first registered in 1975. It is a very well-maintained model with excellent technology, which makes it very smooth and pleasant to drive. The powerful 1800 cc engine runs fantastically and provides sufficient power. As a highly valued accessory, this MG is equipped with an overdrive gearbox, which provides more peace and driving pleasure at higher speeds and longer distances. The bodywork is in very good and cool condition, having been neatly repainted in the past. The underside and chassis are very cool and solid. The interior is typically understated 1970s, with only the bare essentials. Still, it is remarkable that it has only 73,709 km. The car was sold new in Switzerland and came to the Netherlands in 2005. It is equipped with nice options: leather sports seats, overdrive, power brakes, and wire wheels. At the 1964 Brussels Motor Show, Coune presented a coupé version of the MGB. The changes were not limited to a simple hardtop: thanks to parts from Renault and Simca, among others, he designed a car with its own personality, with a sloping roofline and a Ferrari-like rear. The design was so well received that Coune decided to produce it. Inspired by this success, MG introduced the MGB GT in 1965. This closed version was also known as the 'poor man's Aston Martin'. The GT owed its beautiful lines in part to the involvement of the grand master of car body design: Pininfarina, who also built the prototype.
