- The Daimler Dart SP250 was introduced in 1959 as a compact fibreglass-bodied sports car, with the later C-spec benefiting from factory chassis strengthening under Jaguar ownership and representing the final evolution, with just 114 cars built from the end of production
- This late-production example is finished in Ferrari Azzurro Blue Metallic with a grey vinyl interior, riding on silver painted wire wheels with Avon CR6ZZ tyres and fitted with a blue vinyl hood and black tonneau cover
- First registered in December 1963, with four previous keepers including 43 years with an engineer owner, the car was subject to a full restoration from 2021 covering the body, engine, brakes, suspension, hydraulics and chassis protection
- It's powered by the 2.5-litre Edward Turner V8 producing around 140bhp, now paired with a stronger Jaguar manual gearbox with overdrive, and features rack and pinion steering along with refurbished brakes and suspension as part of the restoration
- Sensible upgrades include the later Jaguar gearbox with overdrive, alternator conversion, electric cooling fan, stainless steel exhaust system and improved steering, all aimed at enhancing reliability and real world usability
- Supplied with an extensive history file including the current V5C showing Historic Vehicle status, a copy of the original 'buff' log book, numerous invoices dating back to the 1970s and original and later service manuals, as well as four wheels with tyres
- This late C-spec represents a well restored and thoughtfully upgraded example ready for immediate enjoyment
