This superb Rover Mini has competed in Hillclimbs yet remains fully road drivable. Originally built as a 1275cc, the engine was recently rebuilt by MJA Automotive and enlarged to 1310cc. The comprehensive rebuild included new cam followers, oil pressure relief valve, rear crank oil seal, core plugs, timing chain and tensioner, pistons, thrust washers, full head and conversion gasket sets, big end and main bearings and a new oil pump. The cylinder head was reconditioned with three-angle valve seats and lightly ported. The engine was rebored, the block skimmed, and the flywheel lightened and balanced before a complete strip, clean, inspection, and rebuild. The result is an estimated 110bhp, more than enough to deliver the sharp, competition-focused performance this striking Mini is built for. Since the rebuild, it has covered just 1,000 miles. Inside, the cabin is finished in black and fitted with new Pepperpot bucket seats on new sliding rails, and an OMP five-point harnesses, Koni shock absorbers all round, new tie bars, brand new 7.5-disc brakes fitted with Mintex brakes, engine and battery cut off, three branch manifold with brand new two inch straight through exhaust, high flow radiator, electronic fuel pump, OMP steering wheel and it sits on original Minilite 5.5 X 10 inch wheels A full roll cage is installed for added safety. Finished in bright orange with Britax Cooper decals along the sides, it looks sensational, reminiscent of Gordon Spice's iconic racing Mini from years gone by and it also comes with a new MoT test certificate.
