Vehicle history

Originally from Tennessee (USA), the car belonged to the same owner from 1984 to 2015. Imported into Italy in remarkably original and well-preserved condition, it subsequently underwent a complete bodywork restoration, fully documented with extensive photographs and invoices.

In 2017, after completion of the restoration, it was registered in Italy and remained in the hands of the same collector ever since.

In 2019, it received the prestigious ASI Gold Plate Certification, confirming its high level of originality and restoration accuracy.

Between 2019 and 2025, the car covered only 2,235 km.

Mechanical work completed in 2026

As the engine had only been partially overhauled during the first restoration and some oil leaks appeared after ten years of use, the meticulous current owner decided in November 2025 to entrust the car to a renowned Porsche specialist in Brescia, recommended by our company.

A complete engine restoration was made with all components replaced, and the process is fully documented with invoice and photographs available on our website.

Technical features of the 1971 Porsche 911 2.2 E

The 2.2 E is considered one of the most balanced and refined versions of the early 911 lineup.

Air-cooled flat-six engine (2,195 cc).

Output of approximately 155 hp, enhanced by the Bosch MFI mechanical fuel injection, a key feature of all “E” variants.

The Targa configuration includes the iconic brushed stainless-steel roll bar, removable vinyl roof and glass rear window.

5-speed manual gearbox.

A chassis setup that strikes a perfect balance between the comfort of the “T” and the sportiness of the “S”.

Its limited production, the Targa design, and the presence of mechanical fuel injection make surviving examples—especially those with strong historical documentation and certified originality—increasingly rare and valuable.
