- Bicycle manufacturing came in the late 1890s before the company introduced motorcycles in the very early 1900s
- Two motorcycles were produced, a 2HP Minerva-powered version and a 3HP Fafnir-powered version, both made in very small numbers
- Only two examples are known to still exist
- This Minerva-powered bike has been owned by the same family since the 1950s
- Displayed in the family's motorcycle business in Leeds until the early 2000s
- Has been known to run but not started for some time, so will need recommissioning before use
- Presented in an older restoration condition and appears to be mostly original
- Direct belt driven machine that would have been fitted with a 'trembler box' ignition system (included in the sale) now fitted with a 6v battery ignition
- Featured in the 'Rothwell of Oldham' book written by John Warburton with a copy included
