Estimated Price: £10,000 - £12,000
- The Royal Enfield Model 180 was a powerful tourer produced from 1912 to the late 1920s, designed primarily for sidecar use
- Early machines were powered by a 770cc JAP engine succeeded in 1921 by a Vickers-built 976cc side-valve V-twin equipped with the signature Enfield 2-speed gear system utilising twin primary chains
- This smart machine is an older restoration, with a lovely patina and still presents well
- Recent work includes a new steering tube with new headstock bearings and cups and the original handlebars have been refurbished and refitted along with new 'hidden' cables. The hand-change for the 2-speed gearbox has had work and is operating as it should
- The bike is currently fitted with an incorrect Amal carb, but the original AMAC carb is being refurbished by 'Joe the Carb' and will come with the bike
- Supplied with a current V5C - correctly classed as Historic - along with a dating certificate and other model related paperwork
- We understand that this desirable early Enfield is running and riding well
- A rare opportunity to purchase a smart example of Royal Enfield's 8hp Model 180
