The Yamaha FZR400R SP is a rare, track-focused ‘Sport Production’ homologation special of the 1WG series, primarily produced for the Japanese market to compete in the Formula 3 racing class. While it shares the same 1WG frame number as the standard model, the SP (often identified by the 2TK model code) features significant racing upgrades that make it a highly sought-after ‘grey import’ in other regions.

This little rare machine has been fully reconditioned and recently MOT tested. The bike is nice and clean, it has been in the same loving ownership for 34 years so has been well pampered! The polishing work on the running gear is lovely. It’s believed to be one of 2,500 bike produced in the ‘SP’ version so these won’t come up for offer often.
