This exceptional Peugeot 304 Cabriolet is far from standard. Built between 2016–2020 as a no-expense-spared restoration and engineering project, it blends classic styling with modern reliability and performance.

The Peugeot 304 Cabriolet is a stylish and elegant small convertible from the 1970s, with bodywork designed in collaboration with Pininfarina, the legendary Italian styling house behind many Ferrari models.

Compact, refined, and beautifully proportioned, the 304 Cabriolet offered open-top motoring with a distinctly European flair. Today, surviving examples are increasingly rare, particularly those restored and enhanced to this level, making them highly desirable among classic enthusiasts seeking something a little different.

Finished in striking Fiat Yellow with a Black interior, the car was inspired by a Stella Artois Cidre advertisement, resulting in a unique and eye-catching presentation that turns heads wherever it goes, particularly noted during trips to France.

This superb restoration was undertaken by a professional classic car restorer with 40 years’ experience (notably working on WO Bentleys), using four donor vehicles, 2x Peugeot 304 Cabriolet’s, a Peugeot 304 Estate and a Citroën Saxo VTS (engine donor).

The vehicle was also given a high-quality repaint costing over £4,000, carried out by a specialist Bentley restoration paint shop. Described as excellent condition, the interior presents superbly, which is as to be expected with a restoration/build of this quality.

A major highlight is the upgraded powertrain, housing a 1.6L Saxo VTS engine, giving it a significant performance increase over original specification. The result is a car that retains its vintage charm while being far more usable in modern traffic conditions.

Further upgrades include electric windows and boot release, battery isolator, convertible roof with tonneau cover, Bridgestone tyres & two sets of keys.

Covering approx. 5,252 miles covered since restoration, with no reported issues from the vendor, this car went on to become a Show Winner, as well as a ‘Showstopper’, winning the 2021 – “Bill Messam Trophy” (Best Peugeot 304 in Show) and the 2022 – Best in Show.

Included with the sale is the donor vehicle history, Peugeot manuals and literature and a box of spare parts.

A truly unique take on the Peugeot 304 Cabriolet, combining Pininfarina styling, bespoke craftsmanship, and a modern performance upgrade. With show-winning credentials, extensive restoration, and proven usability, this is a standout classic that offers something far beyond a standard example.

Ideal for enthusiasts seeking a distinctive, usable, and conversation-starting classic convertible.
