- A well-maintained Z3 1.9
- Service book with 11 stamped entries
- An ‘exchange engine’ was fitted in 2002 at 19,507 miles
This 1999 BMW Z3 1.9 is a soft‑top convertible first registered on 8th March 1999. Powered by the 1,895cc engine allied to a 5‑speed manual gearbox, the car is finished in a colour believed to be Arctic Silver, which is complemented by a Black leather interior. The current owner has owned the vehicle since 2023. The paintwork is very good overall, with only a couple of stone chips and minor marks to the front of the car, with the alloy wheels show some scuffing from use over time, while the interior presents in very good condition. We understand an ‘exchange engine’ was fitted by Dick Lovett on 21st February 2002 at 19,507 miles and is recorded with a stamp and a handwritten note in the service book.
The original book pack is present and includes 11 stamped service entries, five of which are from BMW main dealers. Oil services are on record for 2003 at 27,397 miles, and 2005 at 34,105 miles, followed by a main dealer Inspection II at 38,053 miles. We were not able to verify the mileage as being inclusive of the previous engine’s mileage. Further servicing continued regularly, with oil services and inspections recorded between 2007 and 2016. These include services at mileages of 47,913, 52,178, 58,548, 65,287, 75,499, and 79,332 miles. Additional service invoices show a full service in 2021 at 84,771 miles and a full service and inspection in 2022 at 86,869 miles, demonstrating continued care beyond the stamped service history.
The maintenance history is supported by invoices for various works carried out over recent years. For example, a new BMW Z3 hood was supplied and fitted in March 2021. MOT‑related repairs were completed in August 2022, followed by the fitting of new brake discs and pads in August 2024. In October 2025, the ABS pump and control unit were repaired, and we understand covered by the suppliers 24‑month warranty, and in March 2026 a buckled wheel was repaired.
The Z3 is accompanied by a comprehensive paperwork file, which includes the aforementioned service book and book pack, the current MOT certificate, previous MOT certificates, service invoices, and invoices for work carried out, providing a clear and well‑documented history for the soft-top that is sure to offer the usual Z3 experience – a lot of fun and in BMW’s comfortable sportscar package.
