TVR S3 2.9C with Monza Red coachwork with Tan and Black hide. First registered in the UK on 14th December 1990. Overall, the bodywork is in good condition, there appear to be no surface cracking or stress damage to the fiberglass - the only imperfections being the missing front bumper rubber mouldings and both front indicator lenses being cracked. Free from any apparent blistering the coachwork is in average condition for a car of this age and mileage.

The factory Black Mohair roof is in good condition, with slight wear at the corners, and the seals are all in place. Rear plastic screen and stitching are in excellent order. Boot is carpeted and shows the usual evidence of dampness – most likely due to blocked pipes. Jack and space saver spare wheel are present – and two targa roof storage covers.

The interior is consummate with the age of the vehicle. The drivers seat requires attention, needing a recover to make best. The carpets show slight evidence of wear but usable as is. The veneer of the dash and switch panel are in good order. Glass is good all round and the electric windows both work, albeit a little slow.

All four, factory original Oz 8 Spoke wheels are in good order, with no evidence of kerbing or cracks. Bridgestone RE720 Tyres are fitted all round with good tread. A new battery was fitted on the 31st March 2026 with a three year warranty (paperwork supplied).

There is a large file of history with the car including the original book pack, Warranty Handbook, Owner Handbook etc. There are several pages of handwritten notes including fitting of Stage 2 Big Valve Cylinder Heads, Camshafts etc to a cost of some £3,000 from Graham Walker (sports and prestige Cheshire) and Specialised Engines.

Having had experience with many TVR S2’s, this cars 2.9 Injected Ford Engine appears to feel much quicker than the others I’ve driven. Keen to start with a steady idle it pulls very well throughout the range without any strange noises or vibrations. The exhaust note is sublime, having had a recent refit of an entire stainless-steel system and new manifolds. Instruments all appear to be working with exception of the fuel gauge. Oil pressure, water temperature and volts all read well and stayed within limits. After driving there was no evidence of engine coolant or oil leaks. The 5-speed gearbox changed as it should with ease and the clutch feels as new with a healthy biting point. Having sat outside for some time the brake discs have a coating of corrosion and require cleaning before any serious use, but they stopped the car without pulling left or right.

Only in need of a general tidy and light re-commissioning, this TVR appears to be perfectly usable as a rolling restoration.
