We are delighted to offer this highly original 1986 Ford Escort XR3i, an increasingly sought-after 1980s icon from Ford Motor Company, presented here as a low-mileage survivor with excellent provenance.

Finished in white, this example retains a strong, honest appearance. The bodywork presents well overall and still carries its original supplying dealer details, including dealer number plates and rear window sticker for Holland Motors Ltd, a lovely period touch that adds to its authenticity.

The Escort has had just two former keepers and has remained with the current owner since 2006, further reinforcing the sense of long-term, careful custodianship.

It has been off the road since 2008 and is now offered as a recommissioning project. The engine has been removed and is currently stored in the boot, following a proposed repair that was ultimately not carried out. As such, it will require mechanical work before returning to the road, but it represents a very solid and worthwhile base. Importantly, this is not a heavily restored or modified example, but rather a genuine, largely untouched XR3i, exactly the type collectors are now seeking as values of original examples continue to rise.
