  • Only two previous owners, believed to be father and son
  • Beautiful condition
  • Some unique paperwork
  • A very rare find

We are very pleased to bring to market this exceptional Austin Seven Mini in outstanding condition. This is a time warp example with only two previous owners, believed to have been father and son. It is a lovely thing when you come across something like this that has been on the road for 66 years and looks the way it does. This little gem was first registered on 1/8/1960 by Austin dealer Naylor and Root Ltd, who even sent the owner a card on its first birthday, which is still in the history file along with its owner’s manual and a workshop manual. Added to this is a copy of Autocar from 1960 with a big feature on the Austin Mini.

The vendor has kindly provided the following information:

“Chromework and rubbers around all window areas present fresh and fade free. With a single chrome petrol filler cap located to the passenger side rear. Upon twisting the chrome handle to the boot lid opening, you instantly see the single fuel tank to the left and the originality preserved throughout.

All lights front and rear present in the very best of condition, crack and fade free, and of course genuine originality has been maintained throughout, badging sitting correctly with brashness and boldness. Originality very often can be used easily, however, in this instance upon opening the driver’s side door you instantly become aware the seating front and rear remains original, boasting a light speckled seat base with blue leather finished leather frontal quarter panel along with cream piping to the edges, both front and rear seats are in original condition. You simply do not come across this often, with matching inner door cards.”

Today the vehicle shows 40,000 miles, which is credible and believed to be genuine. This Mini is a true piece of British motoring history, which is exceptionally rare and deserves to be cherished and cared for the next generation to enjoy. Examples of this calibre simply don’t come along very often, if at all. This would make a great addition to any collection or something you could take to shows and bask in the admiration you will receive.
