We are very pleased to offer this rare and stunning Jaguar XJ6 2.8 Manual. First registered in South Africa by Jaguar Service Leyland Cars Suid Afrika to a Mr Liebenderg on 12/9/1971, it was manufactured in February 1971 in CKD form (imported into the county in kit-form). Finished in the very striking colour of Willow Green coupled with Magnolia leather, it appears to have spent it’s time between South Africa and London, according to the 18 stamps in the original service book. Accompanied by the factory service pack with the owner’s handbooks and folder (a lovely piece of history), Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, a host of receipts and invoices, which all show the care and attention it has had since being registered in the UK on 1/7/2016. All the paperwork regarding the import is also present.

The specification is equally as impressive with such things as the correct wheel caps and chrome rings, original toolkit, overdrive, and a period towbar. At some stage it has been fitted with inertia front seatbelts and belts in the rear, a nice touch from a safety point of view but can be removed if desired and put back to standard. The XJ6 presents and drives very well and, possibly due to spending a lot of time in warmer climates, the bodywork and especially the chromework are in very good order. This charming and cherished example needs to be seen to appreciate the quality of this rare and desirable Jaguar.

Recently it has appeared in two television series, ‘Talamasca’ on Netflix and ‘Patience’ shown on Channel 4. So as well as being rare, in a great colour with low mileage, it has also been a TV star, which is a great history to have with your classic.
