We are delighted to offer this highly desirable 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Mäkinen Edition, one of the most celebrated homologation specials produced by Mitsubishi Motors, built to commemorate Tommi Mäkinen’s World Rally Championship success.

The TME is widely regarded as one of the finest Evolutions ever produced, featuring revised suspension geometry, quicker steering, improved turbo response and subtle styling changes over the standard Evo VI. These have become true modern classics, with strong collector demand worldwide.

Finished in black, this example is particularly rare, as the vast majority of TME cars were produced in Rally Red, with black examples making up only a very small percentage of overall production. As such, this offers a more understated and unique take on an already special model.

The Evo retains its correct red and black Recaro interior, a signature feature of the TME, which presents very well and adds to the authentic feel. Mechanically, it remains largely standard, which is increasingly uncommon for these cars. It benefits from only light upgrades including a performance air filter; white alloy wheels and a few discreet gauges fitted within the cabin.

This example was imported from Japan and first registered in the UK in 2018, and has had just one former keeper since. While there is no paperwork from its time in Japan, it is supported by UK MOT history and a selection of invoices documenting maintenance and ownership during its time on UK roads.

The odometer shows 147,800 kilometres (approximately 91,800 miles), which is in keeping with the condition and use.
