Estimated Price: £55,000 - £65,000
Introduced in 1999, the Ferrari 360 Modena Spider marked a significant step forward for Ferrari, pairing modern aluminium construction with a 3.6-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing 400bhp. With its flat-plane crankshaft and free-revving character, the 360 delivers the unmistakable Ferrari soundtrack, while performance remains strong, with 0–62mph achievable in approximately 4.5 seconds and a top speed in excess of 180mph. This example is equipped with the desirable 6-speed manual gearbox, increasingly sought-after and offering a more traditional, driver-focused experience.
First registered in 2001, this Spider is finished in California Blue with a blue leather interior and blue soft top, a particularly appealing and less commonly seen colour combination. On offer from long-term family ownership, the odometer indicated just 26,520 miles at the time of cataloguing and, intriguingly, our vendor believes that it was previously enjoyed by Welsh footballing legend, Ryan Giggs.
The accompanying history file is described as comprehensive, with servicing predominantly undertaken by independent Ferrari specialists, including Keys Motorsport of Silverstone. The service book is reported to contain numerous stamps, supported by a quantity of invoices for maintenance and consumables.
Recent works are understood to include a cambelt service and oil service carried out last year, with minimal mileage covered since. Further expenditure has included the fitment of a new clutch, replacement brake discs and pads all round, attention to the parking brake, four new tyres and refurbishment of the alloy wheels. Additional items noted include a new battery, coil packs, mass airflow sensors and inlet manifold gaskets.
The car will be supplied with a fresh MOT and is accompanied by its Ferrari leather-bound book pack, incorporating the owners manuals and service documentation, along with the original radio and toolkit. A current V5C registration document is present within the history file.
The Ferrari 360 Spider continues to represent an engaging and usable modern classic, combining analogue driver appeal with open-top motoring. Presented with low indicated mileage, a substantial history file and evidence of recent maintenance, this example offers an opportunity to acquire a manual 360 Spider in a distinctive specification.
