  • Good condition
  • Extremely rare

It’s not often one of these comes along, a Volkswagen LT35 van, especially in this condition and with only one previous owner. It would appear that the previous owner was a motorcycle showroom, so it wouldn’t get much abuse transporting motorcycles around (unlike a builder’s van), which is a good thing. The van would appear to have spent most of its life in the Southport area, as it was supplied by a company called LCW Truck & Van Centre in Blackburn to a chap in Southport. It then went to a motorcycle dealer in Southport who it would appear, according to the V5 and clear HPI, owned it from 1993 through to 2003. It looks like it has been off the road since 2007, as that’s when the MOT chain stopped, but started again in 2026 when it had a fresh MOT in March.

The condition would lead you to believe that it has led a low use life, it looks like it is factory standard and has not been abused in any way. It has three seats in the front that are in reasonably good condition and is part lined in the load area. The panels on the outside are pretty straight and in one piece, not perfect but very honest, and it has a side door on the passenger side. As mentioned, it had a fresh MOT in March 2026 when it was also recommissioned. Paperwork wise we have the MOT, HPi and an older blue V5/C. It also has its book pack complete with a service book, it looks like it has been a little damaged over time, but it is a nice and rare thing to have either way.

This van lends itself to so many things - custom, day van, surf van, retro delivery van, business advertising or whatever you wish to do with it. Or even better, leave it as it is as it looks great. It is the perfect shape, a big square with the space being used for what it was designed for - a very clever design. We think this has a great future whatever it becomes.
