The E-Type has enjoyed life on both coasts of the US; it's believed to have spent most of its life on the West Coast, and the previous 15 years in Los Angeles, covered over and dry-stored, before being repatriated. The vendor then spent a number of years re-commissioning the car, with both engine and gearbox stripped and reconditioned fewer than 1000 miles, ago with invoices exceeding £13,000 contained within the history file.
The wire wheels do show some age-related pitting and would benefit from refurbishment, although the Uniroyal tyres remain in good condition. The bodywork reflects the previous warm climate and appears sound throughout. The paintwork has been recently professionally polished, although there are a number of surface marks, chips and orange peeling, which would benefit from further inspection. The exterior chromework also requires further attention.
The interior presents in excellent shape overall, and the seats have been professionally refurbished in recent years. The engine fired up promptly and ran evenly straight away although no test drive was undertaken on this occasion. With a current MoT test certificate valid until August 2026, it also carries a JDHT certificate attributing correct engine and chassis numbers. Consigned by Edward Bridger-Stille
