The engine was expertly rebuilt by a distinguished club member with extensive experience in KR201 power units, using original and hard-to-source components to ensure both correctness and reliability. Attention to detail extends throughout, including the correct 'snakeskin' black vinyl interior with red piping, sourced through specialist club channels, alongside numerous new-old-stock and period-correct parts. The result is a beautifully restored example that performs exactly as intended and presents to an outstanding standard. Its quality was recognised with 2nd Prize overall (from over 170 entries) at the Concours d'Elegance during the 2025 National Microcar Rally in Burford, held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Messerschmitt Club. Beyond its rarity and show success, the KR201 remains a delight to own and drive and benefits from historic vehicle status with free road tax and qualifying for ULEZ exemption.
This is a car that brings a smile to everyone's face and is a hoot to drive. It's always the coolest car at the Cars and Coffee events and with the current fuel prices, who wouldn't want a car that can do 100 mpg. Happy days!!! Consigned by Stewart Banks
