Estimated Price: £28,000 - £32,000
A landmark model in AMG history, the 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK 63 AMG represents the dawn of a new era, being among the very first to feature the legendary naturally-aspirated M156 V8 – an engine conceived under the direction of Bernd Ramler and widely regarded as one of AMG’s finest achievements. Delivering a seismic 110bhp increase over its predecessor, the CLK 55, performance was elevated to a level that rivalled even the more extreme Black Series, despite the 'standard' car’s marginally lighter weight. Its 6,208cc V8 produces an impressive 475bhp and 465lb/ft of torque, underlining its serious performance credentials.
Produced in exceptionally limited numbers, the CLK 63 AMG remains a rare sight today, particularly in coupé form. Of the circa 80 cars believed to have been imported into the UK, only around 32 were coupés, making this an especially desirable example. Unlike the cabriolet – which was built by Karmann and engineered with a greater emphasis on comfort – the coupé retained a more focused design, benefitting from AMG’s performance-led philosophy, including its distinctive quad-exit exhaust system and more purposeful chassis configuration.
This particular car comes from a respected AMG collection and has clearly been maintained to an exceptional standard throughout its life. First registered on 5th March 2007, the V5C shows just three former keepers and the car has covered 51,683 miles from new. It benefits from a very impressive history, having had 15 services carried out exclusively by Mercedes-Benz main dealers, most recently at Mercedes-Benz West London at the end of 2025. At that time, the car also benefited from significant investment, including replacement engine mounts, along with updated cam covers and sump. The car also sits on a fresh set of correct Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres, ensuring it drives exactly as intended.
Offered with a fresh advisory-free MOT and accompanied by the highly desirable registration 83 KBF, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most collectible modern AMGs. When you consider the significantly higher cost of a Black Series model and the remarkably close performance this car offers, it represents seriously good value for money – a hand-built, naturally-aspirated icon from a defining moment in Mercedes-AMG’s evolution.
