Once dubbed 'The World’s Smallest Supercar' by EVO magazine, the RenaultSport Clio V6 255 remains one of the most distinctive hot hatches ever built. Renault took a bold step by mid-mounting a 3.0-litre V6 from the Laguna into the compact Clio chassis, delivering 255bhp to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Launched in 2001 and refined in the 2003 Phase II version, the Clio V6 gained improved handling and usability while retaining its wild character. With widened bodywork and aggressive styling, it stood out visually as much as it did dynamically.

Available in 230bhp (Phase 1) and 255bhp (Phase II) forms, it’s now a cult classic, increasingly sought-after by collectors. At its debut, the Phase II was the most powerful hot hatch ever made, a fitting legacy for one of the era’s boldest performance cars. Only 1,309 Phase II examples were produced for the global market, with just 354 officially delivered to the UK.
