- Kawasaki launched the new in-line four GPX750R in 1986, the bike was
- Smaller and lighter than its predecessor, its rivals were the all conquering Suzuki GSX-R, Honda VFR and Yamaha's FZ
- 1988 saw the introduction of the new World Superbike Championship with all the major players involved including Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Bimota and Ducati
- The championship was incredibly hard fought with Fred Merkel on a Honda being the eventual winner
- Kawasaki won the 1988 Hungarian round with Adrien Morrillas riding the bike on offer here
- Following on from the WSB Championship, the machine was raced in French National Superbikes in 1989
- Offered in mostly original and unrestored condition and in running order
- History file included with various receipts, a copy of the 'Rapport D'Expertise' on the bike and a Goodwood Festival of Speed invitation letter dated March 2018
