Body No. 7

The sixth of just 500 Ferrari 365 GTC/4s built, chassis number 14419 carries early production sequence numbers throughout, including engine number 8, gearbox number 6, and Pininfarina body number 7. The car was finished by the factory in Argento Metallizzato over a Pelle Nera interior and delivered via direct sale in August 1971. According to a report compiled by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini, 14419 was sold new directly by the factory to Carrozzeria Pininfarina S.p.A. of Torino and personally retained by company president Sergio Pininfarina, who used it for press photography and demonstrations through 1973. As Pininfarina's personal car, number 14419 was specified with a leather-covered dash in place of the usual textured ''mouse hair” treatment and wore yellow Ferrari shields on the front fenders.

After its time with Pininfarina, the car was exported to the United States, where it was refinished to blue over red leather circa 1984 and passed through several Pennsylvania-based collectors. In 2016, marque specialist Fast Cars Ltd. of Redondo Beach, California completed a comprehensive mechanical restoration exceeding $120,000, with the engine, transmission, rear end, suspension, braking, and electrical systems all rebuilt. Extensive invoices documenting this work remain on file.

Acquired by The Casa Bella Macchina Collection in 2017, 14419 was subsequently entrusted to Richlin Imports of Harrison City, Pennsylvania for a body restoration completed between 2021 and 2023. As documented by an accompanying invoice, the work totaled $79,928 and included stripping the body to bare metal, attendant metal repairs, refinishing its present Azzurro exterior, new windshield and window moldings, and a new exhaust system. Upon completion, 14419 was shown at the 29th Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance in March 2024, where it earned Second in Class in the Sports and GT Cars 1968-1973 category.

Issued in July 2025, the Ferrari Classiche Red Book accompanying 14419 confirms this early-production 365 GTC/4 as fully matching numbers. Offered alongside its owner's manuals and tool kit, the car carries a connection to Pininfarina that extends well beyond its coachwork. Among the 500 GTC/4s built, 14419 is the sole example ordered, bodied, and personally driven by the man whose name shaped the marque's visual identity for more than half a century, making this a singular acquisition for the collector who reveres Pininfarina's hand in shaping the Prancing Horse.
