The Bentley Continental GT, introduced in 2003, marked a pivotal moment in Bentley's history as it signalled the brand's revival under Volkswagen Group ownership. It was the first Bentley to be produced using mass production techniques, combining luxury with high-performance engineering. The Continental GT was powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 engine, producing over 550 horsepower, and featured all-wheel drive, which was a departure from Bentley’s traditional rear-wheel-drive models. With its mix of cutting-edge technology, opulent interior, and unmistakable design, the Continental GT became an instant success, broadening Bentley's appeal to a new generation of buyers. Capitalising on that success, Bentley introduced the GTC with its triple-lined fabric roof in 2006. Famously, Bentley alleged a top speed of 200 mph with the top up, 195 mph top down.

We are pleased to offer this 2008 Bentley Continental GTC in black with black leather. First registered in April 2008, it was supplied by Harwoods Bentley of Pulborough. We have the original service book which has been filled with 10 stamps, mainly dealers with a couple of Bentley specialists. There is also a recent invoice from specialist Curtis Johnson Ltd for just shy of £6000.

Even 20 years on the GTC remains a handsome car, never more so than when specified in black on black like this example. A black grille adds nicely to the aggression. Against that colour scheme, the big 20” alloy wheels really stand out having been kept a dark silver. No-one wants to see a 550 bhp car on cheap rubber, so it’s pleasing to see them wrapped in high quality Pirelli P Zero rubber. There is a little wear to the fabric roof near to the rear window but importantly the electrics worked without issue when we took the hood up and down for photography. Bentley interiors are always a joy and the contrast between the piano black wood and the liberal sprinkling of chrome makes for an extremely inviting cabin. Mulliner specification brings quilted leather for the seats which has stood up well over the years, with only a light patina to the driver’s bolster.

The car comes with V5C, MOT certificate, recent invoice for maintenance, full set of books and 2 keys.

Arguably, the best luxury grand tourer of the last 20 years, every journey in a Continental GTC is an event from the delicious-sounding and mega-powerful W12 quad-turbo motor, the fabulous ride / handling balance courtesy of sophisticated air suspension, to the beauty and tactility of the finest interior materials. Being so useable means that many have had hard lives, with high miles and tatty interiors. This is not one of those examples. On the contrary, the general condition and strong service history suggest a series of caring owners and a Bentley that represents an exceptional value proposition.
